Terms of Service
Last updated 16 September 2026
These terms govern your use of PhonoFilm at phonofilm.cc (formerly phonofilm.net). By creating an account or buying a subscription, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
PhonoFilm is a film and television discovery service owned and operated by Natnael Besfat, from Ethiopia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean PhonoFilm. You can reach us on Telegram at t.me/TheeLinguine for any question about your account, a payment, or these terms.
2. Your account
You need an account to use most of PhonoFilm. You are responsible for keeping access to it secure, and for everything done through it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using your account.
- One person per account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, resold or transferred.
- You must give accurate information when you register, and keep your email address current — it is how we confirm payments and reach you about your subscription.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf.
3. Premium subscriptions
Premium is sold as a fixed-length pass: one week, one month or six months. It is not an auto-renewing subscription. Nothing is ever charged automatically — when a pass ends, your account simply returns to the free tier until you choose to buy again.
- Price and duration are frozen when you order. Whatever you were quoted at checkout is what you pay and what you receive, even if prices change before you complete the payment.
- Ethiopia: pay with Telebirr, then submit your transaction reference. Most payments verify automatically within seconds; some are checked by a person, which can take longer.
- Worldwide: pay in cryptocurrency through our payment processor, OxaPay. Premium activates automatically once the network confirms your payment.
- Premium starts when payment is confirmed, not when the order is created.
- If you buy again while a pass is still running, the new time is added to what you have left.
Payments are processed by third parties (Verify.ET for Telebirr and OxaPay for cryptocurrency). We never see or store your card details, wallet keys, banking credentials or passwords. We record your order, the amount, and the transaction reference, which is what lets us confirm a payment and answer a dispute.
4. Refunds
Every purchase carries a 14-day money-back guarantee. Within 14 days you may ask for a full refund for any reason, without explaining yourself. The full details, including how refunds are paid, are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell or publish your account access, or use one account for several people.
- Use automated tools to scrape, mirror or bulk-download from the service.
- Attempt to bypass payment, rate limits, region controls or any technical restriction.
- Interfere with the service's operation or security, or with other people's use of it.
- Use PhonoFilm for anything unlawful where you live.
You are responsible for how you use what you access through PhonoFilm, and for complying with the copyright law that applies to you.
6. Availability
We work to keep PhonoFilm running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and titles may be added or removed. Where an outage prevents you from using premium for a meaningful stretch of your pass, contact us — see the Refund Policy for what we do about it.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, most commonly for sharing or reselling access, or for fraudulent or reversed payments. Where a closure is our decision and you have not broken these terms, we refund the unused part of a paid pass. The 14-day money-back guarantee applies to every purchase regardless — it is not affected by anything in this section. Beyond those 14 days, an account closed for a serious breach does not additionally earn a pro-rata refund of the remaining time. You may stop using PhonoFilm and ask us to delete your account at any time.
8. Intellectual property
The PhonoFilm name, design and software belong to us. Film and television metadata, artwork and related material belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and discovery. If you hold rights in material shown on PhonoFilm and want it removed, contact us and we will act promptly.
9. Liability
PhonoFilm is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on the site. A change never alters the price or length of a pass you have already bought.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
