Esra leads two parallel lives. In her worldly life as a Turkish Berliner in a re-united city, vivacious and spirited Esra adores her family but feels caged in her relationships and languishes in her job.

When a group of completely veiled women enthusiastically discover Germany's only outdoor pool for women, sparks fly. The pool attendant quits in exasperation and a man is hired to replace her.

During Janus stay at a psychiatric hospital, the letters from Amina was what kept him alive. Now the letters have stopped, so he sets out to find out what happened to her, whatever the cost may be.
